On Tuesday night, the Vancouver Canucks will take their solid offense on the road to take on the Colorado Avalanche. The Avalanche were able to blow out the Canucks 7-3 two weeks ago.

The Canucks had their four-game winning streak snapped on Sunday when they lost 3-1 to the Nashville Predators at home. They did go 1-for-3 on the power play in that game, but they were also outshot 33-27.

Through their first 12 games, the Canucks have one of the better scoring teams in the league and they have also had a very good penalty kill. Their best offensive player has been Henrik Sedin, who has scored four goals and assisted on nine others. New netminder Ryan Miller has an 8-1-0 record this season with a 2.24 GAA and a .918 save percentage.

The Avalanche's struggles continued on Sunday when they were beaten 3-2 by the Anaheim Ducks on home ice. They were 0-for-3 on the power play in that loss and they were only able to get 18 shots on goal.

The Avalanche have had a hard time scoring so far this season, averaging just 2.4 goals per game. One player who has played well is center Nathan MacKinnon, who now has four goals and five assists in 13 games. Goalie Reto Berra has played in four games and is 1-0-1 with a .932 save percentage and a 2.07 GAA.
