Friday night, the Vancouver Canucks will make a stop at the Pepsi Center to face the Colorado Avalanche.

The Vancouver Canucks will come into Denver after playing the St. Louis Blues on Thursday night.  The Canucks have been on a slide as of late and having to play back to back road games is not the best thing for a team that is going through some problems.  If the Canucks can find a way to shake off the inevitable fatigue that comes with playing back to back road games they will be in position to take a victory over a Colorado Avalanche team that is experiencing some problems of their own.

The Colorado Avalanche lost 4 -3 in overtime to the Florida Panthers on Tuesday night.  After the Panthers jumped out to a 2 - 0 lead in the 1st period, the Avalanche rallied back in the 2nd period.  Colorado scored three straight goals to take the lead late in the 2nd.  But they gave up a tying goal to end the period and that possibly cost them the game.  A scoreless 3rd period sent the game to overtime where the Panthers snatched away the victory less than 3 minutes in.  This year’s Colorado team looks nothing like last year’s.  They are giving up too many goals and struggling on the offensive end as well.  Their penalty kill is pretty good but their power play is horrible.   Unless Colorado starts turning things around right now, the season might just get away from them.
