The San Jose Sharks and Toronto Maple last met up on Dec. 3 of last year. In this game, the Sharks were able to get out of Toronto with a 4-2 win. Mike Brown had a goal against his old team at the 10 minute mark of the first period to start off the game. This was followed up by a power play goal by Joe Thornton to go up 2-0 on the Maple Leafs.
Winners of nine of their last 10, the Maple Leafs weren't going to sit by while the Sharks ran up the score. Mason Raymond started the scoring off in the second period for the Maple Leafs at the 2:44 mark with the assist from Morgan Rielly and Carl Gunnarsson. Phil Kessel then scored on a power play goal to tie the game up at 2-2.
It was all Sharks after that and after defenseman Morgan Rielly couldn't clear a puck, Brad Stuart was able to pick it up and score making the game 3-2.
The third period was capped off with a goal from Logan Couture and assisted by Tommy Wingels to hit the final score of 4-2.
