New Jersey's already thin playoff hopes are reeling and a recent three game losing streak doesn't help their chances. A Sunday night win against Toronto would go a long way in kick-starting a last ditch effort to save their season. The Maple Leafs are going through a little skid of their  own and desperately need to turn things around with only 10 games left in the regular season.

Toronto travels to New Jersey for Sunday's game immediately after a Saturday matchup with Montreal. The Maple Leafs are 3-4 this season during road games on the second end of back to back matchups. Something needs to give for Toronto as they posted a three game losing streak and find themselves only 3 points ahead of four teams trying to take their playoff spot. The Maple Leafs need to turn it around or they will find themselves on the outside looking in for the postseason.

The Devils are a respectable 17-9-7 at home this season and will look to get a win on their home ice to help atone for a recent three game losing skid. They'll have to do so with tired legs though as Sunday's tilt is on the second end of a back to back Saturday night game against the Rangers. New Jersey's woeful three game skid was especially excruciating because it came after the team had won 3 of 4 and were looking to start a positive stretch.

The teams went to a shootout when they met on January 12th with the Maple Leafs eventually capturing the 3-2 win. Bettors of the home team were able to cash in a -120 ticket while the total bets resulted in a push.
