The high-scoring Toronto Maple Leafs will go on the road to take on the struggling defense of the Dallas Stars on Tuesday. In their first game against each other this season, the Maple Leafs were able to defeat the Stars 5-3 in Toronto.

On Sunday night, the Maple Leafs couldn't get their offense going against the Chicago Blackhawks and ended up getting blown out 4-0 on the road. They were 0-for-2 on the power play in that loss and allowed the Blackhawks to get 34 shots on goal.

Despite not scoring any goals on Sunday, the Maple Leafs still have one of the top scoring teams in the NHL. Right wing Phil Kessel has been their top player so far this season by leading the team in both goals (17) and assists (19). Goaltender Jonathan Bernier is now 13-8-3 on the year with one shutout and a 2.76 GAA.

The Stars were able to win their fourth game in a row on Sunday night when they defeated the Edmonton Oilers 6-5 in the shootout. They scored on one of their three power plays in that game and ended up with 45 shots on goal.

Through their first 32 games of the season, the Stars have one of the worst defenses in the league by allowing their opponents to score nearly 3.5 goals per game against them. Center Tyler Seguin currently leads the league with 25 goals and 42 points.
