Friday night, the Toronto Maple Leafs will visit the Nationwide Arena to take on the Columbus Blue Jackets.

The Toronto Maple Leafs didn’t have to play that well in their last game to come away with the victory.  Against the Buffalo Sabres on Tuesday night, the Leafs got a 4 – 0 victory thanks more to Buffalo’s ineptitude than their own talent.  After a scoreless 1st period, the Leafs took the 1 - 0 lead late in the 2nd period on a Tyler Bozak power play goal.  Toronto added 3 more in the 3rd as the Sabres put up little opposition.  Buffalo committed 8 penalties and made just 10 shots on goal.  The Blue Jackets might not provide too much opposition to the Maple Leafs either.

The Columbus Blue Jackets had a rough go of it in their last game.  Not only did they lose 5 – 2 to the Ottawa Senators, they also lost a few players too.  The game was back and forth for the first 2 periods and it was all tied up at 2 – 2 going into the 3rd.  Ottawa exploded in the 3rd and used 3 goals to pull away.  The Blue Jackets had already been bitten by the injury bug and lost Artem Anisimov and James Wisniewski on Tuesday.  With so many other players nursing injuries, the Blue Jackets couldn’t afford any more injuries.  Their 3 game losing streak could grow longer if Toronto comes in and plays the game that they are capable of playing.
