Saturday night, the Toronto Maple Leafs will take on the Buffalo Sabres.

The Toronto Maple Leafs will come into Buffalo after a Friday night game in Pittsburgh against the Penguins. The Maple Leafs have been playing well as of late and will try to keep things going when they take the ice at the First Niagara Center.  It might not be that hard to get past the Sabres though.  Buffalo has had some trouble winning games lately and they might be ripe for a loss if Toronto starts the game strong and dictates the pace.  But that doesn’t mean that the Sabres should be taken lightly. Desperate teams sometimes play harder than expected. 

The Buffalo Sabres lost yet again as they fell to the Minnesota Wild 6 -3 on Thursday night. It was the 5th straight loss for Buffalo and the 6th time that they have lost in 7 games. Although Buffalo scored 2 goals in the 1st, they allowed Minnesota to score 4 goals.  Since they were so far ahead, the Wild could afford to let Buffalo score 2 more in the 2nd and 3rd periods.  The Sabres continued to have trouble on the power play and until they fix those problems, it will be hard for them to get a win.  The Maple Leafs are one of the better teams in the NHL when they have the man advantage and if Buffalo can’t stop them, it will be a long night at the First Niagara Center.
