The Toronto Maple Leafs will be continuing their road trip on Wednesday when they go up against the Boston Bruins in a midseason Atlantic Division matchup. The Maple Leafs and the Bruins have played each other twice so far this season, with both teams picking up one win.

The Maple Leafs lost their second game in a row on Monday night when they were edged 3-2 by the Tampa Bay Lightning on the road. They were 0-for-2 on the power play in that loss and were badly outshot 41-23.

The Maple Leafs are currently the top scoring team in the league, but they have also allowed their opponents to score three goals per game against them. Right wing Phil Kessel has been one of the better offensive players in the league this season by notching 17 goals and 22 assists in 37 games played.

The Bruins have now won three out of their last four games after beating the Detroit Red Wings 5-2 on Monday night. Center Carl Soderberg was the top star in that game by scoring one of the goals and providing two assists to his teammates.

Through 37 games this season, the Bruins are near the bottom of the Eastern Conference in both scoring and power play percentage. Veteran goalie Tuukka Rask has a 15-10-3 record this year with one shutout, a .911 save percentage and a 2.57 GAA.
