On Saturday night, the Tampa Bay Lightning will take their tough defense on the road to face the Vancouver Canucks.

During the 2013-14 campaign, the Lightning were able to beat the Canucks in both of their games against each other. They won 4-2 on the road in early January, and then beat them 4-3 at home in mid-March.

In his 12 career games against Tampa Bay, Canucks center Henrik Sedin has two goals, seven assists and a plus/minus of -1, while brother Daniel Sedin has four goals and five assists in 11 games against them. Veteran netminder Ryan Miller has done well against the Lightning in his career, going 32-15-3 against them with a .921 save percentage and a .265 GAA.

The Lightning gave up a late power play goal to the New Jersey Devils on Tuesday and took their first regulation loss 2-1. Tampa Bay's normally solid power play was unable to score a goal in four chances and their first goal didn't come until the third period in that game.

Tampa Bay is currently fifth in the league in goals against after giving up just 1.8 goals per game through their first three games. Defenseman Victor Hedman has been great through four games, scoring three goals and assisting on four others. Goalie Ben Bishop is 2-0-1 with a .931 save percentage and a 1.61 GAA.
