On Monday night, the Tampa Bay Lightning will be going for their fourth win in a row when they take on the New York Rangers. The Lightning have already played the Rangers twice this season, beating them both times.

The Lightning scored three goals in the third period of their game against the Ottawa Senators on Saturday night to help them come away with a 4-1 home win. They scored on one of their four power plays in that game and outshot the Senators 32-27.

Through 24 games, the Lightning are the top scoring team in the league by averaging 3.5 goals per game. Center Steven Stamkos is looking like an All-Star against this season by scoring 15 goals and providing an assist on 13 others. Goalie Ben Bishop is now 14-3-2 on the season with a .917 save percentage and a 2.27 GAA.

On Saturday, the Rangers beat the Philadelphia Flyers for the second night in a row, this time coming away with a 5-2 home win. Center Derick Brassard was the first star of that game, scoring two of New York's five goals.

The Rangers have scored 2.9 goals per game this season while allowing opponents to score 2.6 goals per game against them. Veteran netminder Henrik Lundqvist is 9-6-3 on the year with four shutouts, a 2.57 GAA and a .911 save percentage.
