The Tampa Bay Lightning will be visiting the New York Islanders on Tuesday night in a game that will feature two of the best offenses in the league.

Last season, the Lightning were able to win two out of their three games against the Islanders. It was a very good series, though, as all three of the games went into the shootout.

Lightning netminder Ben Bishop has faced the Islanders seven times in his career and is 4-2-1 against them with a 2.50 GAA and a .908 save percentage. High-scoring center Steven Stamkos has 10 goals and 21 points in 21 games against the Islanders in his career, while Valtteri Filppula has seven points in nine games against them.

On Saturday, the Islanders had their five-game winning streak come to an end when they lost 5-2 to the Lightning. They didn't take care of business on the power play in that loss, finishing 0-for-4 with the extra man.

The Islanders are near the top of the league in scoring with three goals scored per game. All-Star John Tavares has had a good start to the season by scoring seven goals and providing the assist on 11 others. Defenseman Johnny Boychuk has two goals and 11 assists so far this season, while veteran goalie Jaroslav Halak is 7-4-0 on the year with two shutouts and a 2.59 GAA.
