The Tampa Bay Lightning will finish their three-game road trip when they play the Chicago Blackhawks on Tuesday night. During the 2013-14 season, Tampa Bay won both of their games against the Blackhawks.

On Sunday, the Lightning won their sixth straight game when they defeated the Detroit Red Wings 4-3 in the shootout. Detroit was only able to get 20 shots on goal, while Lightning center Steven Stamkos finished that game with two goals.

The Lightning have been able to average 3.8 goals per game while only giving up 2.7 goals per game to their opponents. Goalie Ben Bishop is 9-1-1 so far this year with a 2.44 GAA and a .910 save percentage. Center Tyler Johnson has been excellent through 15 games, scoring five goals and assisting on 13 others.

The Blackhawks were able to score three goals in the first period of their game against the San Jose Sharks on Sunday and rolled to a 5-2 victory. They were clearly the better offensive team in that one, finishing with 37 shots on goal.

Through 15 games, the Blackhawks have the top defense in the league by only giving up 1.9 goals per game. Goaltender Corey Crawford has a 5-3-1 record with a solid 1.75 GAA and a .932 save percentage. All-Star center Jonathan Toews currently leads the team with six goals and 13 points.
