Tuesday night, the St. Louis Blues will journey to the Garden State as they take on the New Jersey Devils. 

The St. Louis Blues will make the short trip to the Prudential Center after playing the New York Rangers in Madison Square Garden on Monday night.   The trip from New York to New Jersey shouldn’t affect the Blues too much but back to back games on the road can sap some of a team’s energy.  The Blues can look to the fact that over the last few seasons, St. Louis has played some of their best hockey in the month of November.   That November effort will definitely be needed to get past a Devils team that has been playing very well this season.

The New Jersey Devils snatched a 3 -2 victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets on Saturday night.  Columbus scored a little over a minute into the game and the 1 – 0 advantage held until early in the 2nd period.  That’s when Marek Zidlicky tied it up at 4:32 on the power play.  Columbus answered with a power play goal of their own to go up 2 – 1 and that’s where the score stayed until the 3rd period.  The Devils got goals from Adam Henrique and Adam Larsson in less than 2 minutes and that gave them the 3 -2 lead and the eventual victory.  New Jersey has had some slow starts this season but they have made up for it late in games.  It’s worked for them so far but New Jersey needs to play better in the beginning of games.
