The Minnesota Wild may be a lock to get one of the Wild Card spots in the Western Conference, but they got a taste of what the best of the West was capable of the last time they faced the St. Louis Blues. The Blues were able to cruise to a 5-1 home victory and moved their record against the Wild on the season to 4-0 with the final game between the two coming on Thursday.

T.J. Oshie did all of the scoring in the first period, making his first one off of a pass from David Backes and his second coming on a shorthanded effort with less than 30 seconds remaining on the clock. The Blues were able to take the 3-0 lead in the second period through a Jaden Schwartz power-play goal.

It was more Blues' domination in the third period, with Oshie completing his hat trick and Brenden Morrow scoring the team's second power-play goal to make it 5-0. Zach Parise scored the Wild's only goal of the game with his 25th of the season.

Oshie's hat trick was the first of his career. Backes and defenseman Jay Bouwmeester had two assists apiece in the win, while goalie Ryan Miller was able to save 27 of the Wild's 28 shots on goal.

Wild goalie Darcy Kuemper had a game to forget, stopping just 19 of the 24 shots he faced.
