On Thursday night, the St. Louis Blues will attempt to start their first winning streak of the season when they face the Los Angeles Kings. The Kings were able to win two of their three games against the Blues last year.

Last Saturday, the Blues opened up to an early 4-0 lead over the Calgary Flames and easily picked up a 4-1 home win. They put 39 shots on goal in that win and they scored on two of their five power play opportunities.

The Kings scored three first-period goals against the Edmonton Oilers on Tuesday night and ended up beating them 6-1 on home ice. They were 1-for-3 on their power play chances and they also had a shorthanded goal in the win.

The Kings have scored three goals per game this season while giving up 2.3 goals per game. Left wing Tanner Pearson has been great for the Kings and now leads the team in goals (4) and points (6). Goaltender Jonathan Quick is now 1-1-1 with a .919 save percentage and a 2.91 GAA.
