The St. Louis Blues were winners over the Colorado Avalanche by a score of 4-1 when these two last played on Nov. 27. At this point, both teams were off to hot starts on the season so folks were looking forward to this matchup. However, it was the St. Louis Blues that showcased their talents in this one. It was their first win over the Avalanche in Colorado since 2009. Jaroslav Halak had 24 saves in this matchup and David Backes had a goal and an assist. Also contributing with goals for the Blues were Jaden Schwartz, Alexander Steen, and Chris Stewart.
The Avalanche got their goal from Patrick Bordeliau with the assist going to Jan Hejda.
This matchup will be in Colorado again and as previously stated, the Blues haven't had much luck there for the most part. Both teams have been playing good hockey lately but the Blues haven't fared as well on the road lately. In the past 17 matchups between these two teams, they are 8-6-3 against the over/under. In their most recent 5 matchups the under has won 3 out of 5 times.
