Back on March 16, the St. Louis Blues just couldn't handle the Chicago Blackhawks, who beat them 4-0 in the fourth of five meetings these two teams have this season. The Blues may have the best record in the Western Conference, but they found at least one team that could match up well with them if they meet up in the playoffs.

The Blackhawks weren’t all smiles after beating the top team in the West, though. They found out after the game that the team's top scorer Patrick Kane was going to miss at least three weeks with a leg injury.

The Blackhawks got their first goal through a power-play strike by Duncan Keith with just under a minute left in the first period. Andrew Shaw would double the host's lead at the 15:35 mark of the second period with his 18th goal of the season. The Blackhawks would put the Blues away in the third period through two early goals from Shaw and Ben Smith.

Chicago goalie Corey Crawford was at his best in this one, stopping all 23 shots that he faced for his second shutout of the season. Defenseman Nick Leddy and left wing Patrick Sharp pitched in with two assists apiece in the win.

The Blues' newly-acquired netminder Ryan Miller didn't have his best game in this one, stopping just 23 of the Blackhawks' 27 shots.
