The St. Louis Blues will be going up against the solid offensive attack of the Anaheim Ducks on Sunday night.

Last year, the Ducks were able to defeat the Blues in all three of their games against each other. They won by a combined score of 9-4, which included a 1-0 shutout late in the season.

Blues defenseman Alex Pietrangelo has yet to score against the Ducks in his career, but he does have 11 assists against them in 14 games. Center Alex Steen has four goals, six assists and a minus-9 against Anaheim in 18 games against them, while goaltender Brian Elliott is just 1-4-2 against them in his career with a 3.10 GAA and an .884 save percentage.

On Friday night, the Ducks scored two third-period goals to come back and beat the Minnesota Wild 2-1 at home. Netminder Frederik Andersen was their top player in that game by stopping 27 of the 28 shots he faced.

The Ducks have scored 3.4 goals per game this season while giving up 2.6 goals per game. Right wing Corey Perry has five goals through five games and he also leads the team with seven points. Center Ryan Kesler has been able to score two goals and assist on three others this season.
