The San Jose Sharks will be playing their fifth of seven consecutive road games when they visit the Columbus Blue Jackets on Saturday night.

The Blue Jackets and the Sharks played each other in late-October with the Blue Jackets pulling off a 5-4 road win. Ryan Johansen and Mark Letestu were the stars of the show for Columbus in that win by scoring two goals apiece. Letestu was able to score the winner with less than 30 seconds remaining in the game.

Blue Jackets left wing Scott Hartnell has six goals and 20 points in 32 games against the Sharks, while defenseman James Wisniewski has nine points and a plus/minus of +8 in 25 games against them. Goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky has faced San Jose six times and is 3-1-2 against them with a shutout and a .919 save percentage.

The Sharks were able to snap their two-game losing skid on Thursday when they defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning 2-1. Goalie Antti Niemi was excellent in that win by stopping 32 of the 33 shots he faced.

Through 18 games, the Sharks have scored 2.8 goals per game and they have a 24.6 percent power play percentage. Defenseman Brent Burns has had a great start to the season by scoring six goals and assisting on 11 others. Niemi now has a 7-5-1 record with one shutout, a .916 save percentage and a 2.65 GAA.
