The San Jose Sharks will take their solid power play on the road on Sunday night to face the struggling Chicago Blackhawks.

Last season, the Sharks were able to beat the Blackhawks in two out of their three regular season meetings. Chicago won the first game 5-1, but the Sharks were able to win the last two by beating the Blackhawks twice in the shootout.

Sharks center Logan Couture has only been able to score one goal in 15 games against the Blackhawks, while veteran Patrick Marleau has 18 goals and 38 points against them in 61 games. Netminder Antti Niemi is 6-6-1 against Chicago with a 2.85 GAA and a .912 save percentage.

The Blackhawks gave up three third-period goals to the Washington Capitals on Friday night and ended up losing 3-2 on home ice. Chicago was 1-for-3 on the power play in that game, but they were only able to make two of their 40 shots on goal.

Through their first 14 games, the Blackhawks have the best defense in the league by only giving up 1.9 goals per game, but their offense has only been able to score 2.4 goals per game. Center Jonathan Toews has been their best offensive player by scoring five goals, while veteran defenseman Duncan Keith has three goals and five assists. Goalie Corey Crawford is currently 4-3-1 with a solid .930 save percentage.
