A well-rested San Jose team comes in to face the weary Ducks with a possible #2 seed on the line. Wednesday's game marks the fifth meeting between the teams with San Jose winning 3 games so far. San Jose will have three full days off before Wednesday's matchup while Anaheim will be playing their third game in four nights.

After the Anaheim game San Jose will have just two more left on the docket. The Sharks need to win to maintain their home ice advantage in the first round of the playoffs, currently sitting just 2 points ahead of the Blackhawks. The Sharks need a small boost heading into the postseason after winning just 4 games of their last 10 after being favored in all of them.

It appears that St. Louis will capture the top seed in the West with Anaheim falling short of catching them. The Ducks need to watch out though as the Sharks are just a point behind them to swap the 2 and 3 seeds. Anaheim wasn't kind to bettors over the weekend losing 2-5 Friday night to Nashville as -199 favorites followed by a Sunday beating from Edmonton, 2-4 with a -163 line. Anaheim needs to get right as the season winds down, if anything for their own psyche.
