The San Jose Sharks will be taking on the Anaheim Ducks on Sunday in a game that will feature two of the better offenses in the league.

During the 2013-14 season, the Sharks were able to beat the Ducks in three out of their five games against each other. San Jose outscored Anaheim 17-15 in their regular-season series, and both teams were able to pick up one three-goal win.

Sharks center Joe Pavelski has faced the Ducks 45 times in his career, scoring seven goals and assisting on 17 others in those games. Veteran left wing Patrick Marleau has 27 goals and 56 points in his 94 games against Anaheim, while goalie Antti Niemi is 10-9-0 against them in his career with a .904 save percentage and a 2.59 GAA.

After losing their first game of the season, the Anaheim Ducks have now won seven in a row after beating the Columbus Blue Jackets 4-1 on Friday night. They were 2-for-4 on their power play chances in that win and they outshot Columbus 34-17.

The Ducks are near the top of the league in goals per game while also sitting in the top 10 in goals against. Center Ryan Getzlaf and right wing Corey Perry are both near the top of the league in points with 12 apiece. Netminder Frederik Andersen has an undefeated 6-0-0 record on the year with a 1.32 GAA and a .951 save percentage.
