On Monday night, the Pittsburgh Penguins will try to end their two-game road losing streak when they visit the New Jersey Devils. The Penguins won their first meeting with the Devils this season.

The Penguins now have a season-high three-game losing streak going after being shut out 3-0 by the Washington Capitals on Saturday night. They were outshot 34-31 in that loss and ended up going 0-for-4 on the power play.

Even with their recent struggles, the Penguins are still at or near the top of the league in most offensive and defensive categories. Veteran defenseman Kris Letang has eight goals and 15 assists on the year, while goalie Marc-Andre Fleury has won 19 of his 28 starts and has a very solid 2.12 GAA.

On Saturday night, the Devils lost their third consecutive game when the New York Rangers beat them 3-1 on the road. The Devils were 0-for-4 on the power play in that loss and ended up with just 20 shots on goal.

So far this year, the Devils have one of the better power plays in the Eastern Conference, but they are also near the bottom of the league in scoring. Veteran winger Jaromir Jagr has scored five goals this season and is tied for the team lead in points with 20. Netminder Cory Schneider is now 11-17-4 with two shutouts and a .917 save percentage.
