The Pittsburgh Penguins and their top-ranked offense will go on the road on Saturday night to face the Nashville Predators. The Penguins won both of their games against the Preds last season by a combined score of 7-2.

The Penguins had a 2-1 lead going into the third period of their game against the Detroit Red Wings on Thursday, but Detroit came back and beat them 4-3 in overtime. They were 0-for-3 on the power play in that loss and they were outhit 30-19.

The Penguins currently have the most goals per game in the league and one of the best power play units. Center Sidney Crosby has four goals and five assists through five games, while Evgeni Malkin has two goals and a team-leading six assists. Marc-Andre Fleury has started all five games in net and has a 2.81 GAA.

On Thursday night, the Predators won their second game in a row when they beat the Chicago Blackhawks 3-2 on home ice. They had just one power play opportunity in the game, but they were still able to outshoot the Predators 32-27.

Nashville currently has one of the best defenses in the NHL, but they have struggled on the power play. Through seven games, young center Filip Forsberg leads the Predators with six assists and seven points. Netminder Pekka Rinne has a 5-0-1 record so far this season with one shutout.
