On Monday night, the Pittsburgh Penguins will be visiting the Boston Bruins in a game between two of the better power plays in the NHL. During the 2013-14 season, the Bruins were able to win two out of their three games against the Penguins.

On Saturday night, Penguins lost their second straight game when they were beaten 4-1 by the New York Islanders on the road. The game was tied going into the third period, but the Islanders were able to score three quick goals to secure the win.

Through 19 games, the Penguins lead the league in scoring with over 3.5 goals per game. Center Evgeni Malkin has had a good start to the season by notching eight goals and 15 assists. Goalie Evgeni Malkin is now 11-3-1 with four shutouts, a 2.10 GAA and a .926 save percentage.

The Bruins has their three-game winning streak come to an end on Saturday when they were shut out 2-0 by the Montreal Canadiens at home. They were held scoreless in that game despite outshooting Montreal 33-23.

The Bruins are currently in the top 10 in the NHL in power play percentage by converting on 21.2 percent of their chances with the extra man. Defenseman Dougie Hamilton has four goals through 22 games with seven assists. Netminder Tuukka Rask is 10-6-0 this year with one shutout, a 2.36 GAA and a .915 save percentage.
