On Sunday night, the Philadelphia Flyers will be going up against the Winnipeg Jets, who will be playing the final game of their four-game homestand.

Last season, the Flyers and the Jets split their two-game regular season series against each other. The Jets won their home game 3-2 in the shootout, then the Flyers were able to win on their home ice by the score of 2-1 later in the season.

Flyers right wing Wayne Simmonds has three goals and three assists in 12 games against the Jets in his career, while Claude Giroux has been able to notch six goals and 11 assists in his 19 games against them. Goalie Steve Mason is 3-0-1 against Winnipeg in his career with one shutout, an 0.91 GAA and a .968 save percentage.

The Jets were able to snap their two-game losing streak on Tuesday night when they blew out the Buffalo Sabres 5-1 on home ice. They scored on one of their four power plays in that win and ended up with a 36-28 shooting advantage.

Through their first 32 games this year, the Jets are in the top five in the NHL in goals against by only giving up 2.3 goals per game. Right wing Blake Wheeler has been one of their top offensive players this year by scoring nine goals and providing a team-high 14 assists.
