The Philadelphia Flyers, who are 5-4-0 on the road this season, will be visiting the New York Islanders on Monday night. The Flyers beat the Islanders in three out of their four meetings last season.

The Flyers were able to snap their four-game losing skid on Saturday night when they defeated the Columbus Blue Jackets 4-2 at home. Their offense had a good night in that one, outshooting the Blue Jackets 37-22.

Through 19 games, the Flyers are last in the league in penalty kill percentage by allowing their opponents to score on 72.1 percent of their power plays. Right wing Jakub Voracek has seven goals this season and he leads the league with 22 assists. Goaltender Steve Mason is now 4-6-1 on the year with a .913 save percentage and a 2.86 GAA.

On Saturday, the Islanders scored three third-period goals to pull off a 4-1 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins on home ice. They were 1-for-2 on the power play in that win and outshot the Penguins 35-28.

The Islanders' offense has found it easy to score against their opponents this season, averaging 3.2 goals per game through their first 20 games. Veteran goalie Jaroslav Halak is 9-4-0 this season with two shutouts and a .918 save percentage. Center John Tavares has eight goals this year and he leads the team in points with 20.
