On Saturday night, Philadelphia Flyers will try to keep their hot streak going when they visit the Nashville Predators. During the 2013-14 season, the Flyers and the Predators split their two-game regular season series.

The Flyers were able to pick up their third straight win on Tuesday night when they easily beat the Minnesota Wild 5-2 on the road. They only had one power play chance in that win, yet they still finished with a 30-24 shooting advantage.

Nearly halfway through the season, the Flyers are near the bottom of the Eastern Conference in both goals against and penalty kill percentage. Center Claude Giroux has been one of their better offensive threats this year by notching 11 goals and 30 assists. Goalie Steve Mason is now 6-10-5 with one shutout, a 2.49 GAA and a .921 save percentage.

In their last game, the Predators had their three-game winning streak snapped when they were beaten 5-3 by the Boston Bruins on the road. They committed five penalties in that loss and ended up going 0-for-2 on the power play.

Nashville's defense and goaltenders have been excellent this season, allowing opponents to score just 2.1 goals per game against them. In 33 games this season, young center Filip Forsberg has been able to notch 13 goals and 19 assists. Netminder Pekka Rinne been winning with ease this year and is currently 22-6-1 with three shutouts and a 1.84 GAA.
