The Philadelphia Flyers will try to be the first team to hand the Chicago Blackhawks a regulation loss when they visit them on Tuesday. The Flyers and the Blackhawks each picked up a win against the other in their two-game regular season series last year.

On Saturday, the Flyers scored three third-period goals to send their game against the Dallas Stars into overtime, and center Claude Giroux scored the game-winner in the extra period to give them the 6-5 win.

Giroux and right wing Jakub Voracek each have two goals and five assists for the Flyers this season. Wayne Simmonds leads the team with five goals and he has the best plus/minus with a plus-3. Goaltender Steve Mason is 0-2-1 in his starts this year with a 3.78 GAA and a .865 save percentage.

The Blackhawks played in a defensive battle against the Nashville Predators on Saturday and came away with a 2-1 overtime win. They were 0-for-5 on the power play in that game, but they also had a 37-20 shot advantage.

Veteran left wing Patrick Sharp has scored two goals and assisted on two others so far for the Blackhawks, while Jonathan Toews has one goal, three assists and a plus-2 on the young season. Goalie Corey Crawford has started all four games for Chicago and is 3-0-1 with a .926 save percentage and a 1.66 GAA.
