The Ottawa Senators will be going on the road on Monday night to take on the Washington Capitals, who are just 6-5-4 at home this season. The Senators seemed to like facing Washington last year, sweeping them in three regular season games.

On Saturday night, the Senators had their two-game winning streak snapped when the Montreal Canadiens beat them 4-1 on the road. They were 0-for-3 on the power play in that loss and ended up being outshot 29-25.

So far this season, the Senators are in the bottom half of the league in both goals scored and goals against. Center Kyle Turris is currently ties for the team-lead in points with 23 by notching seven goals and 16 assists in 33 games. Netminder Craig Anderson has an 8-8-4 record this season with three shutouts and a solid .930 save percentage.

The Capitals played one of their most complete games of the year on Saturday when they shut out the New Jersey Devils 4-0 on the road. Goalie Braden Holtby was their top star in that game by stopping all 21 of the shots that came his way.

So far this year, the Capitals are in the top 10 in scoring and they lead the league in power play percentage. Center Nicklas Backstrom currently leads the team in points with 34 by scoring 10 goals and providing 24 assists to his teammates.
