Tuesday night, the Ottawa Senators will take the ice at the Scottrade Center as they face the St. Louis Blues.

The Ottawa Senators will come into this one after playing the Detroit Red Wings in Detroit on Monday night.  That game was the 1st in a 5 game road trip for Ottawa.  Even though they will more than likely be fatigued, they will be able to look back on their Saturday loss against the Blues for guidance on how to handle St. Louis this time. In that game, the Senators took advantage of the power play but they failed to get enough out of their shots on goal and they were sloppy at times.  A cleaner game might give Ottawa a chance in this game.

The St. Louis Blues posted a big comeback win in their last game as they used a late scoring flurry to take a 4 -2 victory against the Winnipeg Jets.  Winnipeg took the early lead with the only goal of the 1st period but St. Louis quickly tied it up on a Jaden Schwartz goal to start the 2nd.  After the Jets regained the lead, the Blues tied it up again with a David Backes goal.  In the 3rd, goals by Ryan Reaves and Paul Stastny put St. Louis up for good.  The Blues went 2 for 5 on the power play while shutting out the Jets on their only power play opportunity.   If St. Louis can keep the power play working, they could get their 3rd win in a row and their 10th in their last 13 games.
