On Saturday afternoon, the Ottawa Senators will attempt to end their four-game losing skid when they visit the Pittsburgh Penguins. The Senators did well in their games against the Penguins last season, winning two out of the three games between the two teams.

The Senators' struggles continued on Thursday night when the New York Islanders beat them 2-1 in Ottawa. They did go 1-for-3 on the power play in that loss, but they only ended up with a total of 21 shots on goal.

So far this season, the Senators have only been able to score 2.5 goals per game while giving up 2.6 goals per game. Defenseman Erik Karlsson has had a pretty good start to the season by notching six goals and 12 assists. Goalie Craig Anderson has a 5-6-4 record this year with two shutouts and a 2.43 GAA.

On Thursday night, the Penguins had their two-game winning streak snapped when the Vancouver Canucks shut them out 3-0 in Pittsburgh. They ended up going 0-for-3 on the power play in that loss and they were outshot 31-21.

The Penguins have the top power play in the NHL right now by scoring on 29.6 percent of their chances with the extra man. Center Sidney Crosby is once again an MVP candidate by scoring nine goals and accumulating 33 points in just 25 games this season.
