On Saturday, the Ottawa Senators will try to improve upon their 7-8-3 road record when they visit the Montreal Canadiens.

During the 2013-14 season, the Canadiens were able to win three out of their five games against the Senators. Three of the five games ended up going to overtime, and the biggest win for Montreal was a 7-4 home victory in their last meeting of the season.

Senators’ netminder Craig Anderson has a 6-7-2 record against Montreal in his career with no shutouts, a 3.28 GAA and a low .888 save percentage. Left wing Bobby Ryan has three goals and four assists in his eight games against the Canadiens, while defenseman Erik Karlsson has been able to accumulate 19 points in his 23 games against them.

On Thursday night, the Canadiens had their three-game winning streak snapped when the Anaheim Ducks came into town and beat them 2-1. They lost that game despite holding the Ducks scoreless on their three power play chances and limiting them to just 23 shots on goal.

So far this season, the Canadiens have had one of the worst power plays in the Eastern Conference, but they also have one of the better penalty killing units. Goalie Carey Price has a 17-9-1 record right now with two shutouts and a .923 save percentage. Their leading scorer is left wing Max Pacioretty, who has 13 goals this season.
