On Monday night, the Ottawa Senators will take on the Florida Panthers, who are winless through their first two games. Ottawa and Florida played each other four times last season with Florida winning three out of the four games.

On Saturday, the Senators picked up their first win of the season by beating the Tampa Bay Lightning 3-2 in the shootout. Netminder Robin Lehner was able to save 38 shots in that win and he finished with a very solid .950 save percentage.

The Senators have only given up 2.5 goals per game so far, but they are also near the bottom of the league with a 66.7 penalty kill percentage. Center Kyle Turris and right wing Alex Chiasson each have a goal and an assists through two games. Lehner is 1-0-0 now, while Craig Anderson is 0-1-0 with a .919 save percentage.

Florida gave up four first-period goals to the New Jersey Devils on Saturday and ended up losing 5-1 at home. The Panthers did have 29 shots on goal in that game, but they scored on just one of their eight power play chances.

The Panthers have scored just 1.5 goals per game this season and have a low 58.3 penalty kill percentage. Veteran defenseman Brian Campbell leads the team with two points with his two assists and he is a minus-1. Goalie Roberto Luongo is 0-1-1 with a very high 5.73 GAA.
