The Ottawa Senators, who have lost three out of their four road games, will be taking on the Detroit Red Wings on Monday night. Earlier this month, the Senators were able to defeat the Red Wings 3-1 at home.

On Saturday, the Senators played a solid offensive game against the St. Louis Blues and came away with a 3-2 road victory. They outshot the Blues 33-26 in that win, and they finished with a 37-23 faceoff advantage.

Through their first 19 games, the Senators have scored just under three goals per game, and they have held their opponents to less than 2.5 goals per game. Left wing Clarke MacArthur has a team-high eight goals and is tied for the team lead in points with 14. Goalie Craig Anderson is 5-3-2 on the year with two shutouts, a .935 save percentage and a 2.23 GAA.

Red Wings gave up three late goals to the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday night and ended up losing 4-1 on the road. Their power play struggled in that loss and ended up going scoreless on their three chances with the extra man.

So far this season, the Red Wings have scored just under three goals per game while giving up less than 2.5 goals per game. Left wing Justin Abdelkader has scored eight goals through 20 games and is second on the team in points with 14. Netminder Jimmy Howard is now 8-4-4 through 16 starts with a .922 save percentage.
