Dallas will look to put away Ottawa early on a Saturday afternoon home game as they hold on tight for a possible Western Conference playoff berth. The Senators have seemingly checked out for the year after dropping 7 points back from the Eastern Conference postseason while dropping 8 of 10 recently.

The Stars hope to make the playoffs for the first time since 2008 and they're currently in a dogfight with Phoenix for the final spot. After posting a three game win streak the Stars subsequently dropped three straight, two of which were to non-playoff Calgary and Winnipeg. That being said, Dallas is 4-2 in their last 6 home games and look to build on that against a slumping Ottawa team.

The Senators recent woes include a four game losing streak kicked off by back to back overtime losses. Granted Ottawa was playing 3 games in 4 nights but the skid came on the heels of losing 4 of 6 games before that. The total has been soaring in recent Senators games with numbers of 12, 9, 7, and 8 being notched in 4 of the last 5 games. Goalie Robin Lehrner has yet to post a victory after taking over for the injured Craig Anderson on March 10th.

The two teams met up in November in a game that couldn't be settled in regulation. Ottawa was able to tie the game up at 3 with only 10 seconds left in the 3rd to force overtime. Neither team scored which forced a shootout that Dallas was able to win. Ottawa was home favorites in that game and those who bet on the Stars were able to cash out a nice +122 ticket.
