On Saturday night, the Ottawa Senators will be in the middle of their three-game road trip when they go up against the Calgary Flames. Last season, the Senators and the Flames played each other twice, with both teams picking up a home win.

Ottawa snapped their three-game losing skid on Thursday by beating the Edmonton Oilers 4-3 in overtime. Goaltender Craig Anderson came away with the win in that one by making 34 saves and finishing with a .919 save percentage.

Through 16 games, the Senators have scored 2.8 goals per game while giving up 2.4 goals per game. Wingers Clarke MacArthur and Mike Hoffman are tied for the team-lead in goals with seven apiece, while Anderson is now 5-2-3 with two shutouts and a very good .942 save percentage.

On Thursday night, the Flames had one of their better offensive performances of the season when they defeated the Arizona Coyotes 5-3 at home. Center Paul Byron had his best game of the year in that win by scoring two goals.

The Flames are in the top 10 in the league in scoring right now with three goals per game. Defenseman Mark Giordano has been their best all-around player this year by notching six goals and 14 assists in 18 games. Veteran netminder Jonas Hiller is now 8-4-1 with a .922 save percentage and a 2.30 GAA.
