On Saturday night, the New York Rangers will go on the road to take on the Pittsburgh Penguins in an early-season Metropolitan Division matchup.

The Rangers and the Penguins split their two-game regular season series last year. Pittsburgh got the last laugh in the playoffs, though, by defeating the Rangers in seven games in the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

In his career, Penguins goalie Marc-Andre Fleury has a 26-15-8 record against the Rangers with a .10 save percentage and a 2.74 GAA. Center Sidney center Crosby has 21 goals and 44 assists in 48 games against New York, while veteran defenseman Kris Letang has racked up 22 points in 33 games against them.

The Rangers scored three second-period goals in their game against the Colorado Avalanche on Thursday, but it wasn't enough as they ended up losing 4-3 in the shootout. The Rangers played pretty well in that game, but they were 0-for-3 on their power play chances and they lost the faceoff battle 38-27.

The Rangers have struggled on the power play this season, scoring on just 13.3 percent of their chances with the extra man. Left wing Rick Nash has been their top offensive player by scoring 12 goals, while center Derick Brassard has six goals and seven assists. Goalie Henrik Lundqvist is 7-4-2 on the season with three shutouts and a .912 save percentage.
