The Philadelphia Flyers were able to get a much needed road win in Game 2 of their series with the New York Rangers by beating them 4-2 on Sunday afternoon. The Bruins were able to score on two of their six power play chances and tied the quarterfinal series at 1-1. The win was the Flyers' first at Madison Square Garden in ten games.

Martin St. Louis gave the Rangers a 1-0 lead four minutes into the game off assists from Derek Stepan and Rick Nash. Benoit Pouliot doubled New York's lead four minutes later on a power-play goal, but Philadelphia's Jakub Voracek was able to get one back for the road team to make it 2-1 Rangers going into the second period.

From there on out, it was all Flyers. Jason Akeson scored a power-play goal at the 5:45 mark of the second period, then Luke Schenn gave the Flyers the lead midway through the period. Wayne Simmonds put the Rangers away with a power-play tally with just under 30 seconds remaining in the third period.

Flyers netminder Ray Emery, who once again started in place of injured goalie Steve Mason, got the win after stopping 31 of New York's 33 shots on goal. Rangers goalie Henrik Lundqvist faced just 24 shots in the game, but he was only able to stop 21 of them.
