The New York Rangers and the Montreal Canadiens were both underdogs in their Conference Semifinal series, but they both won their Game 7 matchups and moved on to the Eastern Conference Finals.

Pretty much everyone had written off the Rangers after they went 3-1 down in their series against the Pittsburgh Penguins, but they were able to fight back and won their final three games. The Penguins scored a total of 11 goals through the series' first four games, but the Rangers held them to just three goals the rest of the way.

Rangers goalie Henrik Lundqvist is just 8-6 in the playoffs, but he has a .931 save percentage. Brad Richards leads the team with nine postseason points.

The Canadiens played in multiple overtime games with the Boston Bruins in their series and were on the brink of elimination multiple times, but they were able to win it thanks to two solid efforts to close out the series. In Game 7 on Monday, netminder Carey Price pitched shut out the Bruins and Montreal pulled off a 4-0 win.

Price has easily been the best player for the Canadiens in these playoffs by stopping nearly 93 percent of the shots he has faced. Montreal's top offensive player has been veteran left wing Thomas Vanek, who has a team-leading five goals and eight points overall. They have also gotten great play from defenseman P.K. Subban, who has four goals and leads the team with 12 points.
