The New York Rangers will be going on the road on Sunday the Edmonton Oilers, who have had one of the worst defenses in the NHL this season.

In their first game against each other this season, the Oilers were able to beat the Rangers 3-1 in New York. Neither team had a power play goal in that game, and Edmonton ended up with a dominant 33-21 shots-on-goal advantage.

Rangers right wing Martin St. Louis has two goals and 10 assists in 18 career games against the Oilers, while left wing Rick Nash has been able to notch 14 goals and 13 assists against them in 37 games. Veteran goalie Henrik Lundqvist is 1-2-2 against Edmonton in his career with a .915 save percentage and a 2.43 GAA.

On Friday night, Oilers lost their third straight game when the Anaheim Ducks defeated them 4-2 in Edmonton. Backup goalie Viktor Fasth struggled in that game, giving up three goals on just 13 shots faced before being replaced in net.

So far this season, the Oilers has only been able to average 2.2 goals per game while giving up 3.4 goals per game to their opponents. Center Ryan Nugent-Hopkins has seven goals and 12 assists through 28 games, but he also has a plus/minus of -7. Goalie Ben Scrivens is 5-10-3 on the year with one shutout and a 3.21 GAA.
