The New York Rangers will be playing the third of five consecutive road games when they visit the Calgary Flames on Tuesday. The Rangers and the Flames split their two-game regular season series last year.

On Sunday night, the Rangers won their third game in a row when they shut out the Edmonton Oilers 2-0 on the road. Their defense was solid in that win, holding the Oilers to just 16 total shots on goal.

So far this season, the Rangers has struggled a bit on the power play, but they are still scoring nearly near goals per game. Following his strong game against the Oilers, goaltender Henrik Lundqvist now has a 12-7-3 record on the season with five shutouts, a 2.51 GAA and a .911 save percentage.

The Flames lost their fifth consecutive game on Sunday night when the Chicago Blackhawks beat them 2-1 on the road. The Flames only had 24 shots in that loss and they were goalless on their three power play chances.

Seven with their recent struggles, the Flames are still in near the top of the league in scoring with just under three goals per game. Defenseman Mark Giordano has eight goals this season and is the team's top assist man with 22 helpers. Netminder Jonas Hiller has a 9-9-1 record this year with one shutout, a .913 save percentage and a 2.48 GAA.
