On Saturday night, the New Jersey Devils will go on the road to face the tough defense of the Ottawa Senators.

During the 2013 season, the Senators were able to beat the Devils in two out of their three games against each other. They won by a combined score of 9-8 with their second win being a 2-1 shootout victory near the end of the season.

In 65 games against the Senators in his career, Devils right wing Jaromir Jagr has 37 goals and 41 assists. Veteran Patrik Elias has 25 assists and 36 points against them in 56 games played. Goaltender Cory Schneider has a 1-0-1 record against Ottawa in his career with a .967 save percentage and a 0.95 GAA.

In their last game, the Senators beat the Columbus Blue Jackets 3-2 at home for their fourth win in five games. A big reason why they won is because goalie Robin Lehner was able to stop 38 of the 40 shots he faced in the game.

The Senators currently have the eighth-best defense in the league after only giving up two goals per game through five games. Center Kyle Turris has one goal and a team-leading three assists for Ottawa, while left wing Clarke MacArthur has two goals and two assists. Lehner is now 2-0-0 with a 1.92 GAA and a very good .950 save percentage.
