The Nashville Predators will take their top defense on the road on Tuesday night when they take on the Winnipeg Jets. Earlier this season, the Predators were able to shut out the Jets 2-0 on the road.

On Sunday, the Predators scored two goals in the third period in their game against the Vancouver Canucks to pull off a 3-1 road win. Center Filip Forsberg was the first start in that game by scoring two goals and providing one assist.

Nashville has had one of the better defenses in the league so far this season, giving up just two goals per game so far this season. Left wing James Neal has scored a team-high seven goals and he now has nine points on the season. Goalie Pekka Rinne has made 10 starts and is 7-2-1 with a shutout and a solid .931 save percentage.

On Sunday night, the Jets were able shut out their opponent for the second night in a row when they beat the Chicago Blackhawks 1-0 on the road. Goalie Michael Hutchinson made 33 saves in that win and picked up the first shutout of his career.

The Jets have struggled on offense this season, scoring less than two goals per game through their first 12 games. Defenseman Toby Enstrom has been solid on both sides of the ice and has a team-leading eight assists. Netminder Ondrej Pavelec has a 5-4-1 record so far this season with a 2.10 GAA and a .921 save percentage.
