Nashville put up a good fight but their 2013/14 season ultimately ends early after officially being eliminated from the postseason hunt. The Predators were playing good hockey but ran out of time to capture the 8th seed and will likely finish just percentage points behind either Phoenix or Dallas. The Wild on the other hand are headed to the playoffs for the second straight year and are just waiting to hear where they head in round 1.

Over a 10-game span from March 21st to April 10th Nashville won 7 games in trying to keep their postseason hopes alive with 2 of the losses coming in shootouts. They didn't get enough help ahead of them though and will end up falling short of the playoffs. Sunday's game against Minnesota will come on the heels of a Saturday game with the Blackhawks and it will be interesting to see if they play hard to finish out the year or go through the motions in disappointment.
