Dallas is only 3 games back from Phoenix for the final playoff spot in the West but every game is crucial with only 11 left on the docket. Defending home ice against a Nashville team playing in consecutive nights is especially important and its the situation the Stars find themselves in Friday evening at the American Airlines Center.

The Predators have had a pretty efficient week starting with a +103 win in Calgary last Friday. They followed that with an even more impressive 2-0 shutout of the Blackhawks at the United Center as an incredulous +202 underdog. A shootout loss on Tuesday could wear on Nashville though, especially as the Stars game will be their 3rd in four nights.

The Stars only have five home games left on the schedule and need to make the most of each one in an attempt to reach the playoffs.
