The Blackhawks fared alright in their first game without injured LW Patrick Kane, downing Carolina 3-2 on Friday night. Chicago looks to stay perfect on a 4-game home stand when Nashville comes to town on Sunday. The Predators' season is pretty much over and they've just recently started to play like that fact has settled in.

The Blackhawks will lose Kane for about 3 weeks as the star recovers from a knee injury suffered Wednesday against St. Louis. When one door closes another one opens though and Chicago has called up their top prospect Teuvo Teravainen as his season in Finland coincidentally just finished up. Kane's injury will allow the 19-year-old Teravainen to gain ice time with his new teammates just in time for Kane's postseason return. Chicago is tried and true postseason veterans that looks to put together a big win streak over their final 12 games to solidify a first round matchup with home ice.

Nashville was able to end a recent three game skid with a hard fought 6-5 win over Calgary on Friday night. The Sunday night matchup with Chicago will bring and end to a four game road trip and a win would salvage a 2-2 record away from Music City. The Predators actually captured an upset 3-2 victory over the Blackhawks again at the United Center a little over a week ago. The 3-2 Nashville win paid out a whopping +185 while the total paid out to under bettors by a miniscule ½ a goal.
