The Nashville Predators will go on the road on Monday night to take on the Chicago Blackhawks in a game between two of the best defenses in the NHL. The Blackhawks have been able to win two out of their three games against the Predators this season.

The Predators have now won four out of their last five games after picking up a 4-1 win over the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday night. Goaltender Pekka Rinne had yet another solid performance in that win, stopping 26 of the 27 shots that he faced.

The Predators haven't had one of the highest scoring offenses this year, but their defense has been one of the best in the NHL. Rinne now owns a 23-6-1 record with three shutouts, a 1.81 GAA and a .935 save percentage. Their best offensive player has been Filip Forsberg, who has 14 goals and 20 assists in 34 games played.

On Saturday night, the Blackhawks scored two third-period goals to help them defeat the Colorado Avalanche 5-2 on the road. They had 33 shots on goal in that win and ended up going 2-for-4 on the power play.

Through 36 games this season, the Blackhawks have the best goals against average by only allowing their opponents to score two goals per game. Their top offensive star has been right wing Patrick Kane, who now has 18 goals and 21 assists on the year.
