The Montreal Canadiens were able to beat the New York Rangers 3-2 in overtime in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals and cut the Rangers' series lead down to 2-1. New York had 12 more shots on goal than the Canadiens in the game, but Montreal netminder Dustin Tokarski was able to handle just about everything that came his way in just his second career postseason game.

Left wing Carl Hagelin was able to put the Rangers on top at the 15:18 mark of the first period with his fifth goal of this year's playoffs. The Canadiens responded in the second period when Andrei Markov scored off of assists by Max Pacioretty and Brendan Gallagher.

Daniel Briere scored 17 minutes into the third period to give the Habs a 2-1 lead, but Chris Kreider was able to tie the game with less than 30 seconds remaining to force overtime.

Alex Galchenyuk chose a great time to score his first goal of the playoffs when he hit the back of the net just a minute and 12 seconds into the extra period to give the Canadiens the crucial win.

Tokarski was absolute fantastic in net for the Habs, stopping 35 of the 37 shots he faced for a .946 save percentage.

Rangers goalie Henrik Lundqvist wasn't at his best in the game and could stop just 22 of the Canadiens' 25 shots on goal.
