The Montreal Canadiens will look to continue their hot streak when they play the Carolina Hurricanes on Monday. A couple of weeks ago, the Canadiens were able to beat the Hurricanes 4-1 in Montreal.

The Canadiens have now won five out of their last six games after beating the New York Islanders 3-1 last Tuesday. Goalie Carey Price was great for Montreal in that win, stopping 37 of the 38 shots that came his way for a .974 save percentage.

Through their first 35 games, the Canadiens are near the bottom of the Eastern Conference in scoring, but they have their winning record because they are holding their opponents to just 2.4 goals per game. Price is now 19-9-1 on the year with two shutouts and a solid .926 save percentage. Left wing Max Pacioretty has been their top offensive player by notching 13 goals and 14 assists.

The Hurricanes have now lost three out of their last four games after losing 2-1 to the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday night. They were clearly the second-best offense in that loss, being outshot 38-26 by the Lightning.

So far this season, the Hurricanes have had a pretty good penalty kill, but their power play is one of the worst in the conference. Veteran goalie Cam Ward has just nine wins in 24 starts this year and currently owns a 2.42 GAA with a 913 save percentage.
